Blog 7: Expert on your field
Hello everybody, this day i talk about a person that i admire..
Well, sincerely don't have a person admire and work in anthropology, i realized that i have no references jaja
But if there are people from the social sciences that have interested me, mainly because of the topics that work and that are in the same line that i would like to work when i finish of study in my career.
One of them, is Maria Emilia Tijoux, a sociologist, researcher and teacher who works in the faculty of social sciences, who mainly works topics such as the sociology of the body or migrations, topic which in recent years has been a contingency and conversation for many people.

In addition, she is the mother of the recognized singer Anita Tijoux. She lived the exile for the military dictatorship, living in France where she studied sociology and at present, she is the first to express her position of the migration in the country, being accurate in saying that the Chilean politics to integrate migrants is bad, where she said that the Chilean State must change the laws
Some examples of their work are:
-"Vida cotidiana de niñas y niños hijos de inmigrantes peruanos en los espacios sociales escolares: capitales, tácticas y estrategias para la integración en Chile"
-"Jóvenes de la calle: realidad de la Región Metropolitana"
-"Niños marcados por la inmigración peruana: estigma, sufrimientos, resistencias"
I recommend a lot reading her publications, because she has a critical point of view on contingency problems.
Regards!

Wow! she is Ana Tijoux's mom!
ResponderEliminarOnce i went to a class of her and she is amazing!
i love her too! she has been my favorite teacher of these years. She is great in all aspects: as a person and as an academic
ResponderEliminarI don't like his texts very much, mainly because his treatment of concepts doesn't convince me. Even so, I respect Tijoux very much because she's an intellectual highly linked to movements. Several times I encountered her in meetings with the MAM (Movement of Migrant Action)
ResponderEliminarSounds good. I will read her work, some day
ResponderEliminarWow I agree a lot with you. She is amazing and and his criticism about racism is very true

ResponderEliminarIt seems very important to me, I knew his name, but this information I liked
I totally agree with you! I think that her work about migration is admirable.
ResponderEliminarShe is always raising her voice in defense of migrants (I know that because I follow her on twitter hahaha), it's inspiring.
Is a good teacher, she know in depth about the migration and bodie, i recomended take the CFG "racism and migration in Chile" this CFG is dictated by her, is very good
ResponderEliminarHer contribution to society is very important, although I have not read so much about her work!
ResponderEliminari admire her so much! i think that her studies in the north of Chile really contribute to analyze the social situation there
ResponderEliminarI believe that school integration of all child is very important!
